Operatives of CP Special Assignment Team, CP-SAT, have arrested a 41-year-old notorious kidnapper and armed robber, Godstime Ajugba.
He was nabbed in Mosogar community, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
The suspect was arrested at about 1530hrs of 18th November.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe confirmed the report in a statement sent to our correspondent in Warri.
The Police image maker said the notorious kidnapper and his criminal gang specialized in kidnapping, armed robbery, car snatching and defrauding unsuspecting victims via ATM swap around Ughelli, Warri, Sapele, Oghara, Abraka and their environs.
He said the police effected the arrest of the notorious kidnapper who dwells at Wellington Road area, Mosogar.
According to Edafe, “upon interrogation, he led operatives to their criminal hideout situated by ‘Small Pastor Area’, where they usually keep victims.
“Upon search in the ceiling, the following were recovered, two AK-47 rifles, one K2 rifle, two(2) Automatic Pump Action guns, one locally made cut-to-size gun, five (5) AK 47 rifle magazines, three (3) K2 rifle magazines, One Hundred and One (101) k2 rifle live ammunition, two (2) handcuffs and ten(10) live cartridges.”
